Bosch Rexroth trains employees with the help of tt knowledge force

Bosch Rexroth implemented web-based planning software in the company. In the course of this software installation tts took charge of the entire training management, training employees with the help of tt knowledge force (ttkf).

The customer

Bosch Rexroth is one of the world’s leading specialists in drive and control technologies. Under the Rexroth brand name, the company supplies tailored solutions for driving, controlling and moving. In more than 80 countries Bosch Rexroth develops, produces and distributes its components and systems in the technology fields of electrical drives and controls, industrial hydraulics, mobile hydraulics, linear motion and assembly technology and pneumatics.

The Challenge

Bosch Rexroth had scheduled a worldwide rollout of web-based planning software. That meant 1,200 users had to be trained globally in parallel. Given that no local training system was available, the company sought online solutions. For this, tts drew on simulations in tt knowledge force.

The project

The project was supported by the deployment of blended learning activities. Presence training took place around the world with simulations created in tt knowledge force. WebEx training (courses in a virtual classroom with the help of the WebEx Meeting Center and the corresponding telephone conference system) followed in order to provide backing for SPP End User Support.

The implementation

tts took charge of the entire training organization and created, with four Master Trainers, comprehensive documentation for key user and end-user training. Four additional trainers were subsequently instructed in Germany within two weeks.

Altogether, tts took care of training 1,200 users globally in just two months. The training documentation embraced creating the simulations, Power Point slides, quick-reference cards and activating methods, which were produced in an abridged form for the key-user week and then employed by the end-users in a more extended version.

The benefits

Thanks to a good project and workflow planning within the Master Trainer team, the training content and documentation could be created rapidly with tt knowledge force. This training material was the basis for instructing further trainers in the shortest possible timeframe ahead of the go-live.

Along with the training, materials for classroom training were reworked so that they are now available as webinars. This means that users can now access a combination of 14 webinars and portal-based information.
