Impulses for tomorrow

Harald Weingartner, one of the Managing Directors at tts, opened the Talent Management stream with targeted impulses and provocative statements in order to “intrude upon the listeners’ routine, in a controlled manner” and to stimulate their mood for the case studies to follow.

Managers have the task of disrupting their employees’ day-to-day activities now and again through well-targeted stimuli, according to the prevailing management doctrine. This is the only way to stop people getting too settled in their comfort zone.

Incentivising people, for example to engage more intensively with customers, or to think about taking action to make internal improvements, is necessary in order to be able to respond to accelerating change and innovations in a globalised world.
