Award-winning training programs developed for the digital revolution

For the corporate client consultants at the business bank HypoVereinsbank, digitalization among SMEs boils down to identifying potential, understanding new business models, and financing investments that pose an acceptable risk. After all, corporate client consultants and businesses need to speak the same language before they can engage in eye-to-eye strategic dialog. Design thinking workshops were run to devise suitable approaches to digitalization in SMEs. In addition, the consultants were provided with web-based training, virtual reality modules, video-based interactive case studies and a carefully compiled dossier of materials. The learner-focused, multi-media tts training solution caters precisely to corporate client consultants’ requirements for tackling the digital revolution, enabling them to accumulate skills in holding strategic dialog with the customer.

The insurance sector is also under immense pressure to make the switch from analog to digital. Customers today are keen to access their consultancy services even when they’re on the go – be that via Skype, Facebook, LinkedIn or other online channels. But it’s not just the evolving job profile of insurance clerks that poses a major challenge. The main difficulty actually lies in their varying levels of knowledge and experience, with the spectrum ranging from digital novices to social media whizzes. After quickly coming to the conclusion there’s no longer a one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to training, ERGO Direkt sought a way to bring all employees – whatever their learning motives – to a similar level of knowledge by providing the right learning content.

This led to the “Digital World” training program (offered by tts as part of its standard repertoire) being introduced as a digital learning service for all ERGO Direkt Versicherungen staff. This e-learning concept addresses social media and the internet, provides handy tips and tricks, explores data protection issues, explains sales models ranging from e-business to omnichannel selling, and a whole lot more – doing so in such a soundly based and captivating way that even digitally adept employees can learn something new.
