Giving and doing good – once again, this was the motivation for tts donating to charity in 2019. It was the customers who decided which proportion of the total donations went to each of the three chosen non-profit organizations.

In 2019, as in previous years, tts decided to donate the money it would have spent on sending Christmas presents to customers to Doctors Without Borders, Kiron Open Higher Education and Plan International. The customers of the Heidelberg-based company were able to vote for the project closest to their hearts and thus determine the level of the respective donation. “However, our social responsibility is not limited to the annual Christmas Campaign,” says Hermann Ude, Executive Director of tts. “We also place great value on sustainability in our everyday work, for example.” tts began its concerted efforts for a fairer society back in 2016. For example, all employees received stainless steel drinking bottles so as to help reduce the amount of plastic waste in the world, and were also issued with rucksacks made from recycled PET material.

Turning dreams into reality

All three non-profit organizations are customers of tts, which means they benefit in two respects – in terms of professional advice, performance support and corporate learning materials, but also from this desperately needed funding for existing and future projects.

Doctors Without Borders is committed to providing high-quality, efficient health care in countries where adults and children struggle to survive. Part of the money donated by tts will be used to help provide more than eleven million outpatient treatments. Kiron Open Higher Education is a social start-up founded in 2015. It has developed an online study program to enable refugees to access university education.

Kiron is investing the money donated by tts in expanding the support program for currently 6,500 students.

Plan International is one of the oldest-standing children’s charities, and is active in more than 50 Asian, African and Latin American countries – independent of religion or politics. The tts Christmas donation will flow into the “Rwanda – good education from the start” project, because providing high-quality education to all children is especially important to the full-service provider of performance support, HR consulting and corporate learning solutions.
