The implementation project was split into three phases.

  • Phase 1 lasted around four weeks and involved the actual implementation. The milestone was the go-live.
  • Phase 2, which also lasted four weeks, was when data such as learning history was migrated from the old system, and targeted developments were made to the LMS, for example with the addition of the ReportUI and Notice Design add-ons and various other customer-specific modifications. After two months, the LMS was then released for all staff members.
  • Phase 3 ultimately saw the rollouts in individual countries take place, along with the establishment of an international training structure and the development and implementation of the global role and authorization concept.

Simply start

Thanks to the preconfigured processes, the Groz-Beckert workforce was able to get straight down to using the LMS after a short implementation time. The addition of appropriate add-ons meant the LMS could be adapted perfectly to the customer’s requirements, especially from a global perspective.

This is where the benefits of QuickStart really come to the fore. The multilingual content and high adaptability of the system make it ideal for international rollouts. The rapid knowledge transfer enabled the workforce to use the new LMS quickly, leading to a high level of acceptance.

As a result, the ultimate goal of establishing an LMS that would meet all expectations and requirements, including internationally, was achieved within the specified two-month timeline.

 

The story continues

Groz-Beckert is currently working with LMS in Germany, the Czech Republic and Singapore, with Portugal set to follow soon. Other countries are in the pipeline.

The full potential of LMS will only be realized as part of a comprehensive learning strategy at Groz-Beckert.
