Atruvia AG: Microsoft 365 successfully introduced
People and technology: the key to success
The introduction of Microsoft 365 at several hundred Volksbank and Raiffeisenbank branches was a challenging task for Atruvia. As part of the “way2digitalwork” project, applications such as Teams, Outlook, and OneDrive were not only to be made available across the board, but also integrated into everyday work sustainably. To fully exploit the potential of Microsoft 365, practical training for employees was crucial in addition to technical provision – regardless of their individual digital knowledge.
Without comprehensive knowledge transfer and targeted support measures, there was a risk that the new Microsoft applications would not meet expectations. The challenge of the project therefore lay in combining technical implementation with an empowerment strategy tailored to the needs of the employees.
Standard content combined with customized learning in the workflow
To overcome this challenge during the rollout of Microsoft 365, Atruvia opted for a combination of standard content and customized learning materials. This content is delivered in a context-sensitive manner via the tts performance suite, tts's digital adaptation platform. This means that employees receive support exactly where and when they need it: directly in the application and at the moment of need.
In addition to the Office guides from the standard portfolio, tts is continuously developing customized learning content, including web-based training (WBTs) and guides on M365 topics. Since July 2023, tts has been part of the project team, working closely with Atruvia to create and maintain content on an ongoing basis. This ensures that the learning content remains up-to-date, practical, and tailored to specific needs—a key component for the sustainable use of M365 in everyday work.
Structured learning support in the Microsoft 365 project
Introduction of the tts performance suite as a central knowledge source
A key component of the project was the introduction of the tts performance suite, tts's digital adoption platform, as a comprehensive learning solution. This was provided by Atruvia and made it possible to supply all participating banks with uniform, context-sensitive learning content. Employees now have direct access to supporting content without having to leave their work environment.
Mix of standard content and customized learning materials
At the start of the project, guides for Teams, Outlook, and OneDrive were integrated from tts's existing standard portfolio. At the same time, tts developed customized learning content specifically tailored to the requirements of the banking environment. The content included both web-based training (WBT) courses and interactive tutorials, and was gradually expanded.
Continuous content maintenance with fixed resources
Since July 2023, tts has permanently provided a half-time position for content creation and maintenance. Initially, two people shared this task, but since 2024 it has been consolidated into a single role. This ensured consistent management of the project throughout all phases and enabled a flexible response to new requirements.
Close cooperation within the project team
A special feature of the project was the close coordination between tts and Atruvia: tts was not only a service provider, but also a permanent member of the project team. This close involvement enabled direct communication, rapid coordination, and a deep understanding of the banks' functional, technical, and organizational requirements.
Learning support that grows with you
Support for the tts performance suite is dynamic. New content is added as needed, and existing content is updated regularly. This keeps the learning platform lively and relevant, even beyond the initial rollout phase of M365.
Transition to regular operation planned
The “way2digitalwork” project officially ends on December 31, 2025. However, it is already clear that the tts performance suite will continue to play an important role in the daily work of banks beyond this date. To ensure that context-sensitive learning support remains available in the long term, support for the Digital Adoption Platform will be gradually transferred to Atruvia's line organization.
