On our website we use so-called Cookies in order to recognize multiple usage of our offers by the same user/owner of an internet connection. Cookies are small text files, which your internet browser deposits and saves on your computer. Their purpose is to optimize our internet presence and offers. This mostly applies to so-called “session cookies”, which are deleted at the end of your visit. However, these cookies in some cases provide information enabling you to be automatically recognized in future.

This recognition occurs because of the IP address saved in the cookies. The information acquired in this way serves to optimize our offers and to enable you to access our site more easily. You can prevent the installation of cookies by means of you relevant browser settings; however, we advise you that in this case this you may not be able to use all functions of our website to the full.

On our website we offer you the opportunity to subscribe to our newsletter. With this newsletter we inform you at regular intervals about our offerings. In order to receive our newsletter you need a valid e-mail address. When you register for our newsletter we store your IP address and the time and date of your registration.

This serves as protection on our part in case a third party misuses your e-mail address and subscribes to our newsletter without your knowledge. Apart from that, we do not collect further data. The data compiled in this way is used exclusively for the purpose of subscription to our newsletter. It is not shared with third parties. Likewise there is no comparison or reconciliation of the data collected in this way with data that may be collected by other components of our website. Use of Google Analytics with anonymization function

On our website we use Google Analytics, a web analysis service of the company Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, (hereafter referred to as “Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called cookies, which are stored on your computer and, through this, enable an analysis of your use of the website.

The information created by these cookies, such as time, place and frequency of your website visits, including IP address, are transferred to Google in the USA and stored there. We use Google-Analytics on our website with the “_gat._anonymizeIp” add-on. This means that your IP address is already abbreviated by Google and as a result is rendered anonymous within member States of the European Union and in other States party to the agreement on the European Economic Area

Google will use this information to evaluate your use of our site to produce reports on website activities for us and to provide other services related to the use of the website and of the internet. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties have been commissioned by Google to process this information. On no account will Google link your IP address to other data retrieved by Google. You can prevent the installation of cookies by means of you relevant browser settings; however, we advise you that in this case this you may not be able to use all functions of our website to the full.

Moreover, for the most popular browsers Google offers a deactivation add-on, which gives you greater control over what data is captured by Google about the websites that you access. The add-on communicates with the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js) to indicate that information about the website visit should be sent to Google Analytics. However, the deactivation add-on for browsers from Google Analytics does not prevent information from being sent to us or to other web analysis services that may possibly be deployed by us. You can find further information about the installation of the browser add on via the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en

Use of Google+ recommendation components

We deploy the “+1” Google+ button from Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereafter referred to as “Google”, on our website. With each request to our website, which is equipped with one of these “+1” components, this component allows the browser that you are using to download the appropriate presentation of the component from Google. Via this process Google is notified as to which specific pages of our internet presence are visited. According to the information provided by Google, no extensive evaluation of your visit will take place in the event that you are not logged into your Google account.

If you call up our website and are logged into Google at the time, Google can, with the confirmation of the “+1” button, capture information about your Google account, the website recommended by you as well as your IP address and other browser-related information.

In this way your “+1” recommendation can be stored and will enter the public domain. Your thus submitted “+1” recommendation can then be incorporated as reference together with your account name and, if applicable, with your photo deposited in Google services, for example in search results or in your Google account or at various other locations, for example on web pages and in advertisements on the internet. Moreover, Google can link your visit to our site with your data stored with Google. Google records this information in order to further improve Google services.

If you wish to prevent the above described data capture by Google to the maximum extent possible, you should log out from your Google account before your visit to our website. You can obtain information from Google about the “+1” button and all further matters regarding the capture, sharing and use of information by Google, your rights in this regard as well as your profile settings options at: https://developers.google.com/+/web/buttons-policy

Use of Facebook components

We deploy components from the website facebook.com on our website. Facebook is a service from Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA. With each request to our website, which is equipped with one of these components, this component allows the browser that you are using to download the appropriate presentation of the component from Facebook. Via this process Facebook is notified as to which specific pages of our internet presence you visit. According to the information provided by Google, no extensive evaluation of your visit will take place in the event that you are not logged into your Google account.

If you call up our website and are logged into Facebook at the time, Facebook can identify, via the information collected by the component, which specific page you are visiting and assigns this information to your personal account on Facebook. If for example you click on the “Like” button or provide relevant comment, this information is transferred to your personal user account on Facebook and stored there. Moreover, the information that you have visited our website is forwarded to Facebook. This happens regardless of whether you have clicked on the component or not.

If you wish to prevent this transfer and storage of data about you and your behavior on our website by Facebook, you must log out at Facebook, and you must do this before you visit our site. Facebook’s data protection notice provides more information in this regard, in particular relating to the collection and use of data by Facebook, your rights in these matters and the settings options for the protection of your privacy: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/

In addition, there are external tools available on the market for all popular browsers with which Facebook social plugins can be blocked using add-ons:

Use of Twitter recommendation components

We deploy components from Twitter on our website. Twitter is a service from Twitter Inc., 795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. With each request to our website, which is equipped with one of these components, this component allows the browser that you are using to download the appropriate presentation of the component from Twitter. Via this process Twitter is notified as to which specific pages of our internet presence are visited by you.

We have no influence over the data that Twitter thereby collects, nor over the extent of this data collected by Twitter. Based on our current knowledge Twitter collects the URL of the requested website as well as the IP address of the user, however, this is not used for purposes other than the presentation of the Twitter component. You can find more information in Twitter’s privacy statement at http://twitter.com/privacy.

You can alter your privacy profile in the account settings at http://twitter.com/account/settings.

The data that you provide in a job application are collected and managed by us for the purpose of processing your application. Should your application conclude with an employment contract, the information that you pass on to us can be stored by us in your personnel file for the usual organizational and management-process purposes, observing the pertinent legal regulations.

Should we decide not to proceed with your application, the information that you pass on to us will be automatically deleted two months after we have communicated the termination. This does not apply if, based on legal requirements (for example the duty to report contained in the German Equality of Treatment Act) a longer duty to store data applies, or if you have explicitly agreed to a longer term storage of the information in our data base of prospective employees.

Disclosure/Revocation/Deletion

Based on the Federal Data Privacy Act you can contact us with questions about the collection, processing or use of your personal data and their amendment suspension or deletion, or in order to revoke previously freely granted consent. We advise you that a right is due to you for the correction of false data or the deletion of personal data, should there be no statutory duty to preserve records impeding this claim.
